    Grace

Hi there! I'm Grace, a software developer by trade and a hobbyist photographer. I created this blog to share my journey and insights about development and also to showcase the works of my photography hobby.

    My Tech Journey

My journey into tech begun as a passion in developing Blogger themes when I was 13 years old. Yes, the tinkering and designing with Blogger(remember Blogger?) themes came first before the actual blogging itself. When the time came to pick a college major, I decided to go with software engineering and the rest is history. I've been working in the tech space since but what started as a passion in frontend development sorta turned into one for backend development - when I was given the opportunity to work with the server-side of things and big data tools during my protégé training. These days I am particularly interested in system design, data engineering and AI engineering.

    Photography

I've always believed in having a balance between work and life. While my work happens to also be one of the things I am passionate about, it is mostly technical and logical in nature. I believe the arts offer a way to be more in tune with the more abstract aspects of life. As a kid, I've leaned more into my artistic tendencies through drawing and poetry but abandoned these when I started my undergraduate. I've since realized the importance of tending to my artistic abilities and have tried taking up painting and photography. While painting is still something I treat as a chore, thankfully photography is here to stick and I aim to get better at it.

    Why I Blog

This blog serves as a platform for me to share tutorials, insights, and musings from my SWE journey, as well as showcase my photography work. I hope that my content can inspire, educate, and entertain readers who share similar interests.
